backshed productions ... was started by Hugh Wade in 1983 as a vehicle for like-minded souls  to present various strands of their creative endeavours.

This website has been in development since late 1997 in an attempt to participate in a world of ideas beyond geo-cultural borders.

Naturally it continues to evolve, fall over, rebuild and change - hopefully to reflect the shifting certainties of these interesting times.

Over the years Hugh has contributed to many projects in one or many of the following roles:

actor, voiceover talent, producer, director, script editor, set designer, props maker, art director, production management, location scout, accounts person, website design and maintenance, designated driver, lunch boy, podcaster, poet, photographer
